Jump Rope for Heart/Hoops for Heart - March 23 - March 27
- students gather donations for the American Heart Association
- students participate in events during PE class to honor those with heart ailment
- students dress in red on their regular gym day or accessorize their gym uniform with an appropriate red item
- memory hearts and sponsor forms are due before March 23
- in conjunction with our special event, students will have group discussions on how to have a healthy heart
Donations; checks made out to the American Heart Association or online, www.heart.org/hoops.

Art Club begins for Kindergarten and First grade on FRIDAY, 4/24.

Tomorrow's Hope (Diocese of Rockville Centre) has selected PSAS to process their financial aid applications.
The application can be found at www.tomorrowshopefoundation.org/ One application is to be filed per family even if dependents attend more than one school. If you need assistance completing the application, please contact the help-desk at 1-866-424-6443.

Our Lady of Mercy School follows the school closing/delay plan of the Hicksville Public School District. In the event that Our Lady of Mercy has to close due to weather conditions, School Reach will be used to notify school families and staff. Calls will be made between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. The announcement will also be posted on the school website and will be called into the following radio and television stations immediately upon receiving notice from Hicksville administration.

Families living outside of the Hicksville School District should monitor the availability of bus transportation in the event that Our Lady of Mercy/Hicksville schools are open and your home school district is closed or has a delayed opening.

(75-50) which was published in the Internal Revenue Bulletin dated December 8, 1975.
In conformity with the IRS regulation, notice is hereby given that the schools of the Diocese of Rockville Centre admit students of any race to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the schools and that the schools do not discriminate on the basis of race in administration of their education policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
Sister Joanne further explained that the very notion of racial discrimination is diametrically opposed to the concept of Christian communities that our schools strive to be. She also pointed out that our Catholic schools have always welcomed and have been enriched by students from various ethnic groups.

If so, your donations to OLM can easily be doubled! Some companies will even "match" your volunteer time with dollars! In other words, if you volunteer at OLM, your employer will convert your volunteer hours into dollars and provide a check to OLM to match your efforts.
